Shearwater Marina – Ɫṃá’ailas – on Denny Island is a fully integrated marine hub nestled in Heiltsuk Territory within the Great Bear Rainforest. Offering 1,700 ft of floating concrete docks, the marina offers transient moorage for both sail and power vessels—complete with 15‑, 30‑, and 50‑amp power, potable water, showers, restrooms, and free Wi‑Fi. The marina includes a fuel dock with marine gas, diesel, and aviation fuel stations, and is complemented by adjacent amenities: a marine‑hardware & convenience store, shipyard with 70‑ton haul‐out and full repair services, grocery and liquor outlets, laundromat, and the Fishermens Bar + Grill. Managed by an onsite harbourmaster easily reached via VHF 66A, the marina also features a nearby airport and BC Ferries terminal, making it accessible by sea, air, or road.
Update: September 9th 2026 – the Harbour House is closed for the winter. All moorage payments will be taken at the Fuel Dock.

Moorage at Shearwater Ɫṃá’ailas | Marina
Shearwater Marina accommodates vessels up to 150 feet, with daily, weekly, and monthly moorage rates available. Pricing is based on vessel length and season, with discounts for extended stays.
Daily Rates:
Seasonal (April 1 – September 30): $2.40 per linear foot
Winter (October 1 – March 31): $1.40 per linear foot
Long-Term Main Dock: $10.00 per linear foot
Long-Term Local (Commercial & Staff Dock): $8.00 per linear foot

Power (15, 30, and 50 amp) and potable water are available at all slips, and moorage includes access to showers and washroom facilities.
