Our “small town grocery store” is located at the center of our resort community. Over the years, the store has grown along with the community and its needs. Locals stop by daily – not just for milk or to check their mail, but also for friendly faces and neighborly chat. Shearwater Grocery sells a full range of groceries, including fresh produce & dairy. We always have an assortment of specialty cheeses, and a variety of gluten free and dairy free items in stock. The store carries all the basic items needed to restock your pantry (or galley). The store also stocks a wide selection of alcohol, including beer and wine. Whether you’re looking for a cold beer on a hot day, or the perfect bottle of wine for a special occasion, we have you covered. Just inside the grocery store you will find our Canada Post outlet, capable of handling any postage needs you might have. Canadian, US and International Stamps are available so you can send a postcard home while you are here! Send and receive your mail while you are visiting. Please contact the Grocery Store to make arrangements if you need to send special supplies ahead of you as you make your way along the Central Coast to Shearwater.

Marine hardware store

HOURS: Monday – Friday 9AM to 5PM, Saturday 10AM to 5pm, closed sundays, propane fills 3pm

The Marine & Hardware store offers an incredibly wide selection of amenities. We have a full selection of marine charts and we offer sales and service of electronics on the central coast.

In the unlikely event that we don’t have exactly what you need, your item can be special ordered in and shipped by air freight. Delivery times to the area are generally one to two days.

FUEL DOCK

Our newly upgraded on-water fuel station features a retail convenience store which is stocked with amenities including cold drinks, candies, bait, block ice, gifts, and more. Above the dock, we have a helicopter landing pad with three jet fueling stations. AV fuel is available at the main fuel pad meters, which is closest to the dock ramp. We also service AV & Jet off the floating fuel dock and, of course, offer competitive pricing within our remote location on the Central Coast. Potable water is limited in the summer but can be utilized based on availability.

Shipyard

LICENSED VOLVO-PENTA SALES & MARINE SERVICE CENTRE

Our Shipyard’s Volvo-Penta certified and licensed Sales & Service center has an excellent reputation as a highly reliable marine facility for both major boat repairs and minor boat maintenance.

Shearwater’s marine dream team can repair or build virtually anything! Our 60-ton travel lift can haul out boats of all sizes. Our highly skilled marine trades personnel include small engine and heavy-duty mechanics, steel and aluminum welders, marine electricians, fabricators, and fiberglass repair experts.

Come voyage to the beauty of the Central Coast and know that if a boating breakdown occurs, our shipyard and marine services will have your problem taken care of and will have your vessel back sailing in no time!

HAUL OUT

Includes parking, blocking, and launching. 60-ton travel lift. Minimum 1 day’s storage charges apply once the boat is removed from slings and blocked.

SURCHARGES

Labour is charged by the hour for the abnormal process of haul outs, special sling arrangements, or special blocking. The travel lift with an operator is charged out at a rate of $200 per hour for special yard moves or lifts.

There is a $20 fuel surcharge added to all haul outs.

IMPORTANT

Shearwater is not responsible for sling damage on haul outs. The boat owner or authorized representative must approve the position of slings prior to lifting.

Trailer haul out charge includes launching.

Long term land or dry storage is available for those wishing to leave their vessel for a longer period of time.

VESSEL STORAGE FEES

All storage charges are payable monthly and payable in full before launching. Accounts that become 30 days delinquent will automatically increase to the daily rate. IMPORTANT – All customers must read and agree to the Shearwater Policy.
