Delicious salmon recipe

By | Recipes | No Comments

Looking for a delicious salmon recipe for your fresh catch?

Look no further as this one is a keeper!

Grilled Wild Salmon

Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets
• salt and pepper
• 1/3 cup soy sauce
• 1/3 cup brown sugar

• 1/3 cup water
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 small garlic clove finely chopped
• fresh lemon

Directions:

1. Place salmon fillets in a resealable container with a lid and season with salt & pepper. Using a container instead of cling wrap saves wasted plastic

2. In a small bowl, stir together garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil until sugar is dissolved. Cover the salmon fillets with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

3. Preheat grill for medium heat.

4. Place salmon on the heated and oiled grill. Cook salmon for 6 minutes then flip. Cook

for about 4 more minutes or until it begins to flake in the center.
5. Serve immediately with sliced lemon and any sides you like. We recommend mashed potato and steamed Asian greens.

If you want the freshest wild salmon this BBQ season come join us up here at Shearwater. We can even take care of your catch to get it delivered to you!

Chinook Salmon retention: Unchanged for Summer 2019!

Recently Fisheries and Oceans Canada has made some regulatory changes affecting Southern British Columbia fishing areas.  In an effort to address the Fraser River Chinook Salmon decline, measures have been taken ahead of the 2019 summer season to try to support a recovery of the Chinook salmon and reverse this declining trend.BC salmon fishing, fishing bc, best salmon fishing , fishing trip

The affected area encompasses most of Southern British Columbia, however fishing in the Central Coast remains open and will proceed to operate with the same restrictions as previous seasons.  We will continue to support Fisheries and Oceans Canada by always fishing responsibly and strictly following their regulations in place throughout the Denny Island fishing area.

As always, we invite you to come experience a season at Shearwater in the beautiful Great Bear Rainforest.  Have a look at our packages and find the perfect option for you!

Stay up to date and stay informed. For your 2019 catch amounts and allowances, check out: DFO Fishing Allowance.  If you have any questions, send an email to our fishing specialists.  They’re always eager to help.

Tight lines and see you on the water!
