Ellerslie Lagoon can only be entered at high tide, so the trip begins at 8 a.m. It is a 1hr 45min trip north up Spiller Channel to the mouth of the lagoon. As you enter, look to the opposite end of the lagoon and you will see the fantastic Ellerslie Falls crashing into the Lagoon. While at Ellerslie, you can enjoy your picnic lunch, swim, hike and experience the untouched wilderness of the central coast. After a full day, it is back onto your guided boat for the return cruise back to Shearwater. Plan a fantastic dinner at the Fishermen's Bar & Grill.
